Animal Science Museum

The animal science museum contains exhibits featuring cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, and horse management. Their origins, domestication and breeds, growth and development, current natural habitat and range, and their economic usage today and future prospects will be explored.

Children’s hands-on exhibits will emphasize learning about the products these animals provide and how they are processed. Grocery store displays will teach children to recognize where their food comes from.

Current consumer concerns regarding animal science and production will be addressed. Exhibits featuring animal hormone treatments, overgrazing, genetic engineering, and other environmental concerns will be displayed to attract and educate the public.

Field trips to working horse and cattle farms in the area will be offered by appointment for groups of 10 or more.
